Denver

If you live in Denver, then you already know there’s a lot to do here. But trust us, there’s always something new that you haven’t seen! Keep reading for five ways to enjoy Denver this summer!

Family Having Fun on Beach

Family Friendly

There are plenty of family-friendly activities all over Denver. Picking activities for kids can be challenging.

You want to make sure they’re doing something and not sitting around wasting their summer. In the City Park area, you have City Park- a huge park with tennis courts, playgrounds, lakes and a concert venue.

The Denver Zoo is there too. Your kids can watch elephants swim, see the lions, and learn more about wildlife. Next to the zoo is the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. You and your kids can learn about dinosaurs, planets, mummies and go to the Phipps IMAX 3D Theater.

Other fun activities include the Children’s Museum of Denver, Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park, the Downtown Aquarium and more!

Pint of Beer

Breweries

Did you know that there are about 150 breweries in Denver? A few of our favorites are Bruz Beers, New Belgium at the Source Hotel, and Odell Brewing Company.

Each brewery offers a unique atmosphere and beer selection. Some have outdoor spaces and food too. If you’re looking for a fun way to enjoy all that Denver has to offer, these breweries fit the bill and then some!

Outdoor Restaurants

If you live in a place like Denver, you need to get outdoors! In the summer, this means finding the best outdoor restaurants. There are lots of restaurant rooftops and patios around the city.

Some of the amazing outdoor dining options with a view are El Five, Ale House at Amato’s, Avanti F&B, and Los Chingones. For a date, you should go to Izakaya Den, Tamayo, The Populist, Postino, The Thin Man Tavern or Bistro Vendome.

Looking for a cocktail? Stop by Linger, FIRE Lounge, and Historians Ale House. If you want to bring your furry companion, the Watering Bowl, Brazen, and Racine’s are dog and people friendly!

Red Rocks

Concerts

One of the most popular things to do in Denver during the summer is going to Red Rocks for a concert. It can fit over 8,000 people and over 100 shows are played each season.

You can see every genre at Red Rocks like country, alternative, indie, EDM, and more! This is an amazing way to spend time outdoors and enjoy a good show. That’s a win-win for everyone!

Colorado Mountains

Hiking

You didn’t think we would forget about hiking, did you? It’s easily one of the best ways to spend time in the great outdoors. Check out the Trading Post Trail in Red Rocks Park. Yes, you can do more than see a show at Red Rocks!

Other great hiking paths are the First and Second Flatiron Train, and the Enchanted Mesa Loop. You could also consider hiking up the Green Mountain for a day trip. There are plenty of other hiking trails but these are a few of our favorites!
